Our Mental Health Department offers a Partial Hospitalization Program (PHP) for adults at the
Boulder City Hospital that meets the needs of people who are able to remain in the community
but require additional emotional support. We provide a structured, individualized program of
quality and intensive psychiatric care, focusing on the specific needs of each client. We offer
treatment for depression, bipolar disorder, psychosis, severe anxiety and other mood disorders.
The PHP is staffed by a multi-disciplinary team that includes psychiatrists, clinical psychologists,
social workers, and psychiatric nurses. Through comprehensive individual, group and family
therapy, clients gain skills necessary to enhance their quality of life and maximize their ability to
function independently. The program provides a supportive environment where clients can gain
the skills and resources that will foster independence, self-confidence and self-reliance. Our
client care includes input from family members, physicians, friends and clergy. With the help of
our highly qualified staff, the crucial goals of restoring a sense of self worth and returning to an
optimal level of productivity can be reached.
Every day life can be overwhelming and sometimes people need help coping with their
problems. To meet these needs, Boulder City Hospital has developed the Partial Hospitalization
Program to assist patients to:

Referrals may be made by anyone interested in helping the client achieve improved mental well
being. Physicians, psychiatrists, family members, social service agencies, nursing homes, group
homes, home health agencies, senior centers (or the individual client through complimentary
self-referral) can call (702) 293-4111 extension 547 for assistance. PHP is open Monday through
Saturday from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Transportation is available and may be arranged by calling
(702) 293-4111 extension 547. PHP is approved by Medicare and may accept other insurance
